Learn to bodyboard in the crystal-clear waters of Fistral Beach, Newquay.
Our bodyboard lessons are ideal for complete beginners to intermediate wave riders looking to build on their capabilities. We’ve designed our lessons to cater for all ages, levels, or abilities. There will only ever be 8 people to one coach like our surf lessons, ensuring quality tuition.
Bodyboards are smaller and lighter than surfboards, making learning slightly easier. It’s why a lot of people use it as a stepping stone into surfing, it is however a fun sport in its own right. Bodyboarding can often feel more exhilarating due to the speed you can create. As you’re lower to the board even the slowest of waves can feel like a rollercoaster.
If you’re a beginner we guarantee you’ll be catching white-water waves within the first ten minutes. In addition to this, we will teach you how to paddle into waves properly, trim along the wave correctly, and hand positions.
If you’ve had some experience our coaches can assess your ability and give you tips and tricks to improving. Such as how to cutback, paddling out, duck dives, and more!

All our instructors are qualified beach lifeguards and ISA surf instructors with a real passion for the ocean.
All Lessons Are 2 Hours Long
Fistral beach is the home of British surfing so what better place to learn?! We’ve been operating for over 20 years and have a strong dedicated team with a wealth of knowledge. If you’re looking to surf for the first time or brush up on the basics then the beginner lessons is the one for you. We can facilitate for families, friends and individuals with discounts available for larger groups. Children must be aged 8 and above to join and participants will have to bring their own towel and swimwear.
